EL PASO, Texas — An investigation continues into the case of a Socorro ISD teacher who was recorded shouting obscenities at students. A student recorded the rant with a cell phone.

Socorro ISD is not identifying the teacher, butthey did confirm heworks at El Dorado High School. The district is interviewing students that were in the classroom.
For now the teacher is on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. District officials expect to finish the investigation this week.
District policy is that whenever there is an investigation those involved cannot comment about it.
El Dorado High School’s principal said that no action would be taken against the student. The policy is that the first a student gets caught with a cell phone, they only get a warning.
The second time it happens, the cell phone is confiscated and the student must pay $15 to get the phone back.
