Health Clinics Add Family Planning Services
El Paso, Texas -The City of El Paso’sDepartment of Public Health, Clinical Services Division, is adding family planning services to its health clinics.
The family planning services will be available to the public starting Jan. 11.
“This gives the men, women and families of El Paso County an alternative and convenient way to obtain low cost, health and reproductive health services,” Angela Mora, Deputy Director for Clinical Service, said in a news release. “People are facing hard economic times and a large portion of our population cannot afford to receive some of these services elsewhere. This effort by our department will allow our citizens to receive a high quality service but at a much affordable price; allowing them take care of their personal health as well as their family planning needs.”
People seeking family planning services need to make an appointment by calling their local City Public Health Clinic between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. No walk-ins will be accepted. Fees for these services are on a sliding scale and clinic will acceptMedicaid, Women’s Health Program recipients andthose on a self-pay basis.
