Twenty-five years ago, Hector White, newly unemployed After the grocery store he managed closed, embarked on an opportunity that would span a generation. White opened Eastside Choice Meats in the Lomaland Crossing shopping center at 2050 Trawood, and since Has served of families from as far away as far West El Paso And east to Sierra Blanca. Most of White’s current customers were children when they first stepped into the shop. “I’ve seen a lot of kida grow up,” White said. “I’ve seen the small children of the parents who Shopped here eventually come in.” “I got into the grocery business when I was in high school. I was A stocker for a small store and eventually became manager. That store closed down and I saw the opportunity to open up my own business.”
