Investigators: Fire In West El Paso Was Arson
Firefighters responded to a fire in West El Paso Thursday morning.
The firefighters responded to the blaze, which broke out on the 300 block of Thunderbird at around 11:30am.
Fire units that first responded to the scene reported heavy smoke coming from the garage of the one-story home.
Four people were inside the home at the time of the fire, and were able to safely escape before the firefighters arrived.
The firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly, bringing it under control by 11:38am.
Investigators determined the fire was intentionally set, with total damages estimated at over $5,000.
