NUMBER ONE CAMPAIGN FOCUS: I would like to focus on reducing truancy. It is important for out community as a whole to make sure that our youth reach their full potential.
WHAT SETS YOU APART FROM YOUR OPPONENT? Education is the key to growth. I know this not only from personal experience but also as a member of the El Paso Community College Board of Trustees. I have had the privilege to see first hand the benefits of an education. This unique experience allows me to have an understanding of the opportunities that are out there that our community should take advantage of.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE THAT QUALIFIES YOU FOR THE POSITION YOU SEEK: Not only have I had experience in the field of education but I am also a licensed real estate agent. This has allowed me to have a full grasp on the concerns between tenants and property owners. I was a fire fighter for 23 years and developed a connection with the community. This connection is what inspires me to work hard with our community to help it improve in any way I can.

Knowing I made a difference in someone’s life.
A mother and son that had been to truancy court came up to me and thank me for bringing them back together, the mother with tears in her eyes and the son stating to me you where right my mom is my best friend, I will never forget you, and gave me big hug.
