Police Arrest 18-Year-Old Man For Marijuana Possession

Authorities arrested a man for possession of marijuana Saturday evening.

According to investigators, an El Paso Police officer was responding to a report of criminal mischief shortly before 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

When the officer arrived at 6111 Sun Valley he allegedly saw 18-year-old Marcus Rodriguez standing next to a car, along with another person who matched the description given on the report.

Police said as the officer approached, he immediately noticed a marijuana-like odor coming from inside the car, and according to authorities, the officer found eleven plastic baggies allegedly containing marijuana in the car.

Police charged Rodriguez with possession of marijuana under two ounces.
