1115th Transportation Company Welcomed Home
SANTA FE, N.M. – Family and friends welcomed home The New Mexico National Guard 1115th Transportation Company as they arrived at Ft. Bliss, Texas, Tuesday, April 12, 2010 at 11:25 p.m. from a one year deployed in Iraq.
The 1115th, headquartered in Taos, N.M., conducted convoy and security operations while assigned to the 41st Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Oregon National Guard.
Approximately 350 additional New Mexico National Guardsmen are scheduled to return from deployments this Spring for a total of 500 Guardsmen and women returning from combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2010.
