Update: Police ID Bicyclist Struck In Hit-And-Run
El Paso Police have released the name of the bicyclist who was struck by a vehicle in West El Paso late Thursday night.
Ruben Lemus, 51, of Anthony, New Mexico, was riding his bicycle in the 7300 block of S. Desert at 10:35 p.m. when he was struck.
Lemus, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to University Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. Lemus also had a flashing red light on the rear of his bicycle.
At this time, police have little information about the hit-and-run vehicle and police are asking for the public’s help in locating the vehicle and driver that struck Lemus.
