Two Teens Recovering After Being Hit By Car

Two teens hit by a car last week as they were trying to cross Doniphan Drive in Canutillo are both doing better, according to sheriff’s officials.

14-year-old Vanessa Gonzalez has been released from University Medical Center, while 14-year-old Cassandra Lopez is out of a coma and answering questions as investigators try to figure out what happened.

Sheriff’s officials say a car driven by Alfredo Alvarado hit the two girls Tuesday evening.
