Private School In Central El Paso Graduates Final Class

Graduations are always bittersweet occasions, but in Central El Paso, it was even more so for one school.

One by one, the ten graduates of Bethel Christian Academy received their diplomas Friday night – the last diplomas the school will ever hand out.

Principal Marsha Cardenas, whose mother started the school in 1977, says the private school just can’t afford to stay open any longer.

That means the remaining 135 students and their teachers will have to find another campus.
