Authorities In Juarez Arrest Two Men In Drug Bust

Two men are under arrest Sunday after Mexican authorities found nearly 2,000 pounds of drugs in their truck in Juarez.

Mexican federal authorities say the truck was carrying about 1,200 boxes of detergent, soap and bleach – with bundles of drugs inside.

Police seized cocaine, crystal meth, and heroin. According to authorities, officers pulled over the driver after they noticed he was driving in the wrong lane.

The truck owner allegedly told officials they were transporting supplies. The driver of the truck, Benjamin Calderon Morales, and the truck’s owner, Luis Miguel Luna Mora, were both arrested.

Officials say Mora tried to bribe officers with 50,000 pesos. Authorities also seized cash and several cell phones.
