El Paso Police Charge 3 Teens With Ecstacy, Marijuana At Park

El Paso Police officers have charged three New Mexico teens with drugs and drug related offenses late Friday.

Officers patrolling a park at 11270 McCombs on Friday afternoon smelled burning marijuana coming from the open driver’s side window of a 2000 grey Chevrolet Prizm parked in the park’s parking lot.

As officers approached the car, Rodolfo Hernandez, who was seated in the driver’s seat attempted to roll up the window, according to police.

The investigation revealed that Hernandez and Efrain Medina were in possession of 4 grams or 12 tables of ecstasy pills. In addition Hernandez was found to be in possession of 6.5 grams of marijuana, according to police.

A third passenger seated in the vehicle, Jesus Diaz, was found to be in possession of a glass bong and a black and green marijuana pipe.

Hernandez, 17, of the 700 block of Paloma in Chaparral, NM, was charged with possession of controlled substance (ecstasy) and possession of marijuana in a drug-free zone. Medina, 17, of the 700 block of El Paseo in Chaparral, NM, was charged with possession of controlled substance (ecstasy) in a drug-free zone. Diaz, 17, of the 800 block of El Paseo in Chaparral, NM, was charged with class C possession of drug paraphernalia.

All three were booked into the El Paso County Jail.
