EPISD, SISD Offer Free Lunch Programs For Summer

Socorro Independent School District to offer Summer Food Service Program

The Socorro ISD Child Nutrition Department will offer free meals to all children ages 18 and under from June 7 through July 2. The Summer Food Program provides nutritious meals at no cost to all kids at participating school sites. To participate, just show up. No fees. No registration. Breakfast will be served at participating campuses Monday-Friday from 7-8:30 a.m. Lunch will be available from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

El Paso Independent School District offers free Summer Food Service Program

The El Paso Independent School District announces the sponsorship of the Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided at the sites listed. The program is open to children from 1 to 18 years and there is no eligibility requirement during the period June 9-July 22.

Although operation and serving times may vary for each elementary and middle school campus, breakfast is scheduled to be served from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Sites serving breakfast and lunch beginning June 9 are Aoy, Burleson, Bond, Cielo Vista, Hillside, Johnson, Moye, Roberts, Tippin, Tom Lea, Travis, Vilas and Whitaker elementary schools; Armendariz, Guillen, Morehead and Terrace Hills; and MacArthur Elementary/Intermediate, El Paso High. Transmountain Early College will begin serving June 7 and Jefferson/Silva opens June 8.

Bowie, Burges, Chapin, Coronado, Irvin, Andress and Telles Academy will be offering breakfast from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday beginning June 14.
