11-Year-Old El Paso Boy Hailed As Hero
An 11-year-old El Paso boy is being hailed a hero for his quick thinking.
On Friday afternoon, Dean Richardson got a thank-you from Doris Causey, the woman he saved. Dean says he was walking home from school when he saw Doris on the ground.
Apparently, Doris had taken too much medicine and collapsed. Dean called 911, and an ambulance took Doris to the hospital.
She thanked him for coming to her aid and presented him with a plaque. Dean was very modest. “I feel amazing; I’ve never done anything like this before,” he said.
It turns out Dean didn’t even tell his mother, Kimberley, what he’d done. But when she found out, an emotional Kimberley couldn’t be prouder.
Doris says she believes in angels, but “never thought” the angel would turn out to be an 11-year-old kid.
