Tony Romo’s Bid To Qualify For US Open Delayed By Weather

Tony Romo’s bid to qualify for the U.S. Open has been delayed by bad weather.

The Dallas Cowboys quarterback is one of 36 players vying for two spots in a 36-hole sectional qualifier at The Club at Carlton Woods, just north of Houston. Romo was 2-over par after five holes when air horns halted play about 10:30 a.m. local time. Radar showed heavy thunderstorms just east of the course.

Romo is playing with Thomas Hagler and Dustin Wiginton on Monday. The field also includes former PGA champion Steve Elkington and PGA Tour pro Bob Estes.
