Police: Speeding Caused Fiery Fatal Wreck
El Paso Police investigators say speeding caused a fiery rollover wreck that killed one person this weekend.
The crash happened shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday on I-10 East near the Wyoming on-ramp. According to police, the driver was speeding while getting onto the ramp and lost control of the vehicle.
Investigators say the car slid sideways and jumped a metal guardrail before slamming into some concrete pillars and bursting into flames.
The driver was the only person in the car, and that person’s body was burned so badly police were not able to determine if it was a man or a woman.
