Manhunt Monday 07/12/10: Ricardo Leanos

This week?s MANHUNT MONDAY Most Wanted Fugitive is an individual sought for a violent SEXUAL ASSAULT. The target is identified as RICARDO LEANOS (30) of El Paso, TX.

APRIL 2010- EPPD Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex on the eastside of El Paso, TX reference a family assault in progress. Upon arrival officers met with a female (will not be identified) who told authorities she & her ex-acquaintance were arguing over issues when he proceeded to violently assault & sexually assault her. LEANOS also threatened the victim telling her he was going to ?cut her throat?. The victim managed to run out of the apartment & call for help. LEANOS fled the scene prior to EPPD Officers arrival. Charges have since been filed against LEANOS who has managed to elude capture.

LEANOS criminal history shows various arrests for INDECENT EXPOSURE, other arrests for PUBLIC LEWDNESS & PROBATION VIOLATION. He is believed to remain in the Borderland hiding with friends or relatives. LEANOS was just featured as one of Crime Stoppers Most Wanted the week of June 27, 2010.
