POLICE CHARGE TWO MEN WITH AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – DEADLY WEAPON

El Paso Police have charged two men with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon from and incident Wednesday evening in which the men allegedly used their vehicles to block and box in another male and threaten to kill him.

Police said Rey Arriaga-Granillo, 33, of the 12000 block of Curato Aces, was driving a 2002 Gold Chevrolet Tahoe and Carmelo Romero Jr.,33, of the 400 block of Nita, was driving a 1995 Grey Lincoln Continental in the 11300 – 11800 block of Rojas at 10:35 p.m. Wednesday.

The two men allegedly blocked and boxed in a 31-year-old man and a 31-year-old female as they drove their vehicle on Rojas. They also allegedly yelled to the victims that they were going to kill them.

Officers located all parties in the Tinseltown parking lot. Arriaga-Granillo and Romero were both charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and booked on $40,739 and $40,000 bonds respectively.
