Police Say Man Arrested Criminal Trespassing Attempted 2 Other Crimes On Women This Year

Police said a man accused of preying on women several times found himself behind bars. Robert Castillo, 20, of the 1100 block of Marlowe, was arrested late Monday for criminal trespassing after a woman accused him of looking through her doors and masterbating in her yard.

In August, another unidentified woman said Castillo threatened her with a knife at Paul Harvey Park and demanded she show him her breasts. After a brief struggle, the woman said she managed to get away. Police later arrested Castillo for aggravated assault.

Last January, another woman said Castillo secretly videotaped her undressing. In October, the woman said she received an e-mail with compromising pictures of herself, and a message that read: “Send me a pic of yourself in a short skirt and don’t get anyone involved.”

Police said they found a flashdrive hidden under Castillo’s mattress that contained a video of the woman wearing only her underwear. He was arrested last week and charged with improper photography.

Castillo’s troubles with the law date back at least three years to 2007 when he was accused of assaulting a family member. Later that year, investigators also accused Castillo of evading arrest.

In 2008, police charged Castillo with assaulting an EMS employee who was providing service at the time. That same year, he was also accused of assaulting a security officer.

As of Tuesday night, Castillo remained free on a $2,500 bond.
