Update: Sheriff’s Office Releases New Information On Sal’s Lounge Murder

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office officials have released new information on the Thanksgiving Day murder in a bar in far east El Paso.

Sheriff’s officials said two men wearing black ski masks and dressed in all black walked into Sal’s Lounge with handguns and shouted, ?This is a stick up, everyone on the ground.?

A bar patron who officials identified as Ralph Edward Tucker, 51, grabbed a bar stool and rushed at the suspects. One of the suspects then shot Tucker twice in the neck, killing him instantly.

Officials said the suspects quickly left the scene after the shooting in an unknown vehicle.

Sheriff’s officials said it will be difficult to get a description of the men because they were wearing ski masks and gloves.

Because the murder occurred during a robbery, the gunmen are facing capital murder charges.

The murder investigation is ongoing and the Sheriff’s Office is being assisted by several local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

Sheriff?s officials are urging anyone who may have any additional information to please contact the Sheriff?s Office at (915) 546-2280 or Crime Stoppers of El Paso at (915) 566-TIPS (8477).
