Ex-Director Of El Paso Boys And Girls Club Sentenced For Possession Of Child Porn

United States Attorney John E. Murphy announced that in El Paso Wednesday morning, 45-year-old Carlos Vasquez was sentenced to 80 months in federal prison followed by ten years of supervised release for possession of child pornography.

On March 11, 2009, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents executed a search warrant at a location where Vasquez resided and seized his laptop and desktop computers. A subsequent forensic analysis of the hard drives from the computers revealed the presence of approximately 540 images and 95 videos depicting child pornography. On October 29, 2010, Vasquez pleaded guilty to the charge.

This Project Safe Childhood case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Assistant United States Attorney Antonio Franco, Jr., prosecuted this case on behalf of the government.
