Working today? You ROCK!
First of all, I have to give a high five to all my co-workers who?ve been at the station since last night on-the-air and keeping our viewers informed! As the night crew left last night, another crew was coming in to update the web, and prepare to go on live with breaking news. The morning crew was on non-stop for several hours with anchors, reporters like Stephanie Valle, Jennifer Myers and Jill Galus live in the blustery weather, photographers on scene and all the people behind the cameras who help put all of this together. I am very proud and feel privileged to be a part of this team! I admire everyone?s dedication and what they?re doing today is testimony to the caliber of journalists I work with every day. You?re probably saying: ?they?re simply doing their job? and you?re right. It?s our job to keep you informed but under these circumstances they were able to use the opportunity to shine! I would also like to thank all the people who didn?t have a choice to stay home: like letter carriers, the men and women who delivered your newspaper, Emergency Medical Technicians, doctors, nurses, bus drivers everyone at the Texas Department of Transportation and anyone else I left out- thank you!
