UTEP Basketball Game Cancelled
EL PASO, Texas — The UTEP men’s basketball game against Central Florida has been cancelled.
Athletic Director Bob Stull says there is no guarantee there would have been electricity throughout the game. El Paso Electric is running on limited power, and has asked businesses, offices and residents to limit their electricity use. Rolling blackouts are expected to continue throughout the day in all of El Paso and Dona Ana County.
Stull has not said when the Miners (17-5, 5-2 C-USA) and Golden Knights (14-6, 1-6 C-USA) might replay the game. UTEP is scheduled in action Saturday at Rice. Tip-off will be at 1:00 pm.
