Public Input Sought On Proposed Alcohol Ban At Music Under The Stars

A proposal is in the works to limit alcoholic beverages at the Chamizal National Memorial.

The proposal would prohibit alcohol consumption at the park during the summer months of June, July and August – the months when thousands attend Music Under the Stars at the park each Sunday.

Park officials want the public’s opinion. Chamizal officials will hold two meetings where comments about the proposed new regulation are encouraged.

The first meeting will be Wednesday, April 6 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Paisano Gallery.

The second meeting will be Saturday, April 9 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Memorial Theatre.
