Celebrating Valentine’s Day On A Budget
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and many find themselves stressing over what to get that special someone.
If you find yourself on a budget, there is even more pressure to find the perfect gift.
“You don’t have to spend a bundle to be a hit,” said Chocolat owner, Leigh Kirsh.
Kirsh said her chocolate and gift shop can accommodate both those who are on a budget and those looking to splurge for Valentine’s Day.
“You can get a box of chocolates for $7 and it looks beautiful. You can get a box for $50 and it’ll look $50 beautiful,” said Kirsh.
If your sweetheart doesn’t have a sweet tooth, there are other options.
Discount websites like Groupon and Livingsocial offer several gift ideas under $50.
But the deals are only for a limited time.
“Instead of ordering the flowers like I normally do, I bought the flowers, bought a bow and made them look pretty in my own way,” said University of Texas at El Paso student, Damone Hopewell.
“A love letter, something from the heart, that’s probably better than spending money,” said El Paso resident Mike Becerra.
With a little creativity, the possibilities are endless.
