Family Of Man Allegedly Killed By His Wife Opens Up To ABC-7

Sandra Hilton could not stop the tears from running down her cheeks as she described her cousin, 34-year-old Salvador Juarez.

“I don’t think I told him that I loved him. If I could (now), I would,” said Hilton.

Salvador Juarez died early Saturday morning. Police have charged his wife, Laura Juarez, with murder. Authorities said the couple got into a fight at their Lower Valley apartment complex Saturday.

That’s when investigators said Salvador left their apartment on foot, and Laura allegedly got into their white Dodge Durango, and went looking for him.

Police said she found Salvador close to the entrance of the apartment complex and struck him with the car, knocking him to the ground and causing injuries.

Investigators said Laura transported Salvador back to their apartment where he later died.

About 8 hours before police said Salvador was killed, Laura Juarez posted a picture of them together on her Facebook wall under the heading “Pure Love.”

Salvador’s brother, Lorenzo Juarez, told ABC-7 he never saw any signs of trouble between the couple. Lorenzo Juarez said Salvador was a loving family man who had just thrown a birthday party for his 15-year-old daughter in Ciudad Juarez.

Lorenzo Juarez said most of the family was actually fond of Laura Juarez before finding out about the incident. “Only God can judge,” said Lorenzo Juarez.

“I want to be angry (at Laura),” said Hilton. “But I know God will take care of this. I know the law will take care of this.”

Now the victim’s loved ones are trying to raise enough money to take Salvador’s body back to Mexico where the rest of his immediate family lives.
