El Paso Firefighters Battle A Lower Valley Fire And Hazardous Winds
El Paso Firefighters battled a condition four fire Sunday in the Lower Valley.
The fire started in a work shed behind a church-residence located in the 7100 block of North Loop.
Fire officials said some construction material caught fire and with the strong winds, it quickly grew, catching some rubbish and an old truck on fire.
Firefighters said that because of the winds they categorized the fire as a condition four and they had other houses in the area that they were worried about.
Another home did have some fire damage.
Nearby resident Margarita Maese told ABC-7 they were alarmed by a loud explosion.
“I ran outside and saw the smoke and the fire,” she said.
