According to police, the wreck happened around 3:59 A.M. on Loop 375, a mile north of Montana Avenue.
Northbound lanes of Loop 375 were closed for more than five hours as investigators and clean up crews attended to the scene.
ABC-7 reporter Matthew Smith was live at the scene where he said debris was scattered for more than a hundred yards out from where the car finally came to rest.
Police spokesman Darrel Petry said the driver missed the curve and crashed into a metal guardrail. The Ford F-150 he was driving then rolled over several times. Investigators say the driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the truck and died at the scene.
Petry said investigators are still looking into the cause of the crash. He said investigators do not think speed is a factor. They are still trying to determine if alcohol was involved.
The identity of the man will be released after next of kin have been notified.
