Asher Wildman
Asher “The” Wildman is fired up to be a part of KVIA and living in El Paso.
The Florida native has spent the last six years as host of Golfweek TV based out of Orlando. While there, he was able to cover several USGA championships, Masters, NCAA Golf Championships, and other big golf events. Several of his reports from the golf majors were also aired on FOXSports.com.
With all the events Wildman has been able to cover in golf it has lead him to some great honors and recognition. In 2010 he was selected to be the Capital One Correspondent’s college golf expert making radio interview all across the country. For the last three year’s he has co-hosted the Ben Hogan Award (America’s best amateur golfer) at Colonial Country Club in Ft. Worth, and for the last two years has been a presenter of the Haskins award (America’s top collegiate golfer.)
While covering golf, Wildman also reported on for the Orlando ABC affiliate’s (WFTV) high school sports show called, “Varsity Sports.” Each week Wildman hosted a segment called “Where’s the Wildman?” which highlighted both the game and fans of the week.
Wildman was born in South Florida but raised in Orlando, and calls that his hometown. In 2006 Wildman graduated from the University of Central Florida with a B.A. in Radio/TV Broadcasting. His favorite motto is, “Live the Dream.”
