Man charged for molesting young girl
Las Cruces Police have arrested a man suspected of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl.
Ernesto Robles, 57, of the 1700 block of Mesquite Street , is charged with one count of criminal sexual penetration, a first-degree felony offense, and one second-degree felony count of criminal sexual contact of a minor.
Las Cruces Police detectives learned that the young girl and other family members were at Robles’ home earlier this month when the incidents are alleged to have occurred. The girl later told her mother who contacted police.
Robles was arrested Wednesday evening and booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center with bond set at $75,000.
