I-10 to be temporarily closed for City Hall demolition

In an effort to make this operation as safe as possible for everyone, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has been working closely with the City of El Paso on when to close I-10 City Hall demolitions.

CITY HALL DEMOLITON / April 14 (Sunday):
I-10 will close at 8 a.m.
Westbound lanes closed at Mesa Exit Ramp (Exit 19A)
DETOUR: Yandell Dr. to Mesa St., onto Executive Center Blvd. and back onto I-10

Eastbound lanes closed at Executive Center Blvd. (Exit 16)
DETOUR: Executive Center Blvd. to Mesa St., onto Wyoming Ave. and back onto I-10

Once the demolitions are completed, the contractor will sweep the interstate and perform an investigation; then all lanes will be open.

These are not TxDOT projects. TxDOT is assisting by providing information on our Dynamic Message Signs advising the public when the closures are in place and when all lanes are open.
