Man stabbed in front of his home in northeast El Paso

An El Paso man was stabbed in front oh his home in northeast El Paso, while police continue to search for the suspect.

It happened just after 4:00 am on the 9300 block of Vicksburg, near the intersection with Wren. A man in his 50’s was taken to University Medical Center in serious condition after an assault — he is expected to survive.

According to police, a father and son were awakened to the sound of breaking glass outside their home. When they went outside to see what was going on they found two men vandalizing their vehicles. After confronting the suspects, police say the son recognized that person and a fight ensued. The father was stabbed twice, once in the chest and again in the upper back. Police say the suspect is in his twenties and is still on the run but they have a good idea on who he is. Crimes against persons is now handling the case.
