Former UTEP Defensive Coordinator Heads Back to NFL

Andre Patterson is headed back to the NFL. ABC-7 Sports Director Asher Wildman has learned that former UTEP defensive coordinator Andre Patterson has accepted the defensive line coaching job for the Minnesota Vikings.

Patterson was the assistant head coach this past season for Florida International. This will be Patterson’s second stint with the Vikings, he was an assistant with the team during the 1998-1999 season.

Today was his final day at FIU, and he is expected to meet with new Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer Thursday morning.
