2 El Pasoans killed, 2 injured in rollover crash in Pecos County

Two El Pasoans were killed and two injured Sunday afternoon in a rollover crash near Iraan in Pecos County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers responded to I-10, mile marker 298, at about 4 p.m. Sunday to a single vehicle accident.

The Ford Explorer, being driven by Erica Castro, was headed westbound on I-10 when the left rear tire had a blowout.

The blowout caused the vehicle to side skid before rolling into a ditch on the side of the road and resting on its top. All four occupants were wearing their seatbelts.

Castro, 36, and Julian Billy Granados, 40, both of El Paso, died at the scene.

Julian Granados, 15, and Vanessa Renee Granados, 16, were transported to Odessa’s Medical Center Hospital in critical condition.
