Firefighters extinguish fire at Northeast El Paso recycling plant

Thirty seven El Paso firefighters and 16 units responded to a Condition 3 fire at the Friedman Recycling Company of El Paso in Northeast El Paso.

The plant is located on Wren, between McCombs and Railroad. The fire was on the outside baled material, according to a fire department tweet.

There are no injuries.

The call was received at 10:53 a.m. with first unit on the scene at 10:58 a.m. The fire was brought under control shortly after noon.
