Animal Services Sponsors Low-Cost Clinic

Animal Services, a division of the Environmental Services Department, is sponsoring a low-cost microchip, rabies vaccine, and licensing clinic.

The event will be held at the Animal Services Shelter located at 5001 Fred Wilson, from 7am to 11am.

The goal of the clinic is to increase licensing by having all municipal pet ownership requirements available at one time. To obtain a license, an owner must have the animal microchipped and must also show a current rabies vaccine.

For this event only, the shelter will offer all three services (microchip, rabies vaccine and license) for only $24. City code requires that all pets be licensed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

The services will be available on a first-come, first-served basis (250 available). Exact cash or check only. Please bring friendly dogs on a leash and have cats contained.

Arrive early to avoid extended wait times.
It is anticipated that some residents will begin to form a line two before the 7am start time.

These services support the city of El Paso’s strategic goal to nurture and promote a healthy, sustainable community. For more information, contact the Animal Services Shelter at 915-842-1000.
