NMSU women’s basketball team advance in WAC in OT, men play at 7 pm today

The No. 1 seed New Mexico State women’s basketball team survived a scare Friday in their first game of the WAC tournament.

NMSU beat No. 4 seed Seattle, 79-75.

No. 1 seed NMSU men’s basketball team will play No. 4 seed Bakersfield at 7 p.m. Mountain Time.

Allen Theatres will show the men’s game at 7 p.m. at Cineport 10 at 700 South Telshor in Las Cruces. Admission to the theatre for the game is free.

The championship games on Saturday will also be shown at the theatre if the Aggies are playing.

The women’s WAC Championship is tips Saturday at 2 p.m., with the men’s title contest at 9 p.m. Once again, admission is free.
