El Paso Police arrest man in early Sunday shooting outside Downtown bar

El Paso Police have arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with the shooting outside a Downtown bar early Sunday morning.

Alejandro Sandoval, of El Paso, has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine). His bonds totaled: $9,000.

The shooting happened just after 2 a.m. Sunday outside the Tres Mentiras nightclub by I-10.

Police say a fight in the club spilled into the parking lot where a man opened fired, hitting the 29-year-old.

The alleged shooter was tackled.

Someone else picked up the weapon and in trying to secure it accidentally shot the 26-year-old woman.

Savndoval was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility Sunday afternoon.

The case remains an ongoing investigation and police are not releasing more information at this time.
