2 teens charged with injury to a child when child is injured in shooting incident

El Paso Police have charged two teens with injury to a child as a result of a Dec. 14, 2014 incident.

Police say that Theodore Ayoub was driving a red Ford Taurus in the 6500 block of Westwind and Anthony Rice was riding inside the vehicle when Rice allegedly fired a BB or pellet at a silver Jeep striking, striking the Jeep’s right rear door frame and right rear window.

The window shattered and glass fragments from the window caused injury to a 2-year-old that was inside the Jeep.

Police say Ayoub and Rice fled the scene and police were notified.

Ayoub and Rice were arrested and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility. Bonds were set at $100,000.
