Dozens take part in special Salvation Army Soup Series

When was the last time you paid $50 for a bowl of soup?

Several dozen people did that Thursday at the Salvation Army as part of the Soup Series.

The money raised from the Soup Series helps the Salvation Army operate.

Officials there also used the vent to teach the public about what the local Salvation Army does.

Those on-hand even waited in line for their bowl of soup.

“We do better than soup. The residents have a really nutritious meal,” said Maj. Mike Morton, area commander of the Salvation Army.

If you’d like to help, the Salvation Army also operates a thrift store on site and all the money raised goes right to the Salvation Army.
