Firefighters knock down Central El Paso house fire

No injuries were reported when a Central El Paso home caught fire shortly before 9 a.m. this morning.

One resident in the home on the 3700 block of Tularosa Ave. managed to get out safely.

The incident commander on scene told ABC-7 that the fire was contained to the living room, but the rest of the home suffered smoke damage.

Six units with 20 firefighters responded to the call, and found smoke visible when they arrived. Damage is estimated at $20,000. The cause of the fire has not yet been announced. The Red Cross is assisting the resident.
