Freight trains crash head-on near Roswell; 1 person killed
Two freight trains crashed head-on, killing at least one person.
It happened at about 6 a.m. Tuesday just south of Roswell, New Mexico alongside New Mexico state road 2.
State police say one person is confirmed dead and other injuries were reported.
The scene is being treated as a hazmat incident and it is not yet known what cargo was being carried on the trains.
