Las Cruces Police seek help in solving 25-year-old cold murder case of gas station worker

Las Cruces Police are asking for help in solving a 25-year-old cold murder case.

They’re offering a $2,000 reward for any information on who killed a gas station attendant back in 1990.

Salvador Lozano died from one gunshot to the head while he was at Ray’s Shell service station off Picacho Avenue in Las Cruces.

Two customers found his body around 10 a.m. — two hours after he started his shift.

Anyone with information that can help identify the person or persons responsible for killed Salvador Lozano on Jan. 14, 1990, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip by text message to CRIMES (274637), keyword LCTIPS.
The Crime Stoppers number and text messaging services are operational 24 hours a day and you do not have to give your name to collect a reward.

By the way, it happened one month before seven people were shot at a Las Cruces bowling alley. Detectives say the two cases are not related.
