1 dead after crash in northwest El Paso

One person is confirmed dead after a crash involving an SUV and 3 semi tractor-trailers.

It happened just before 3 a.m. on I-10 East near Transmountain Road just before Artcraft on the west side of town.

I-10 eastbound traffic is being diverted onto the access road at Transmountain as Special Traffic Investigators clean up the scene and try to figure out exactly what happened.

We do know that the white SUV somehow collided with one semi and that created a chain reaction with two other semis.
