Car catches fire overnight in north-central El Paso

The El Paso fire and police departments were called out to a north-central apartment complex overnight after a car was reported on fire.

It happened just after 1:30 am on the 3600 block of Lincoln at the Arches Apartments.

One car was fully engulfed in flames and the car parked next to it was badly damaged.

Firefighters were concerned about the location of the fire, because it was close to an electrical box.

Fire crews were able to extinguish the flames before the fire could reach it.

No injuries were reported.

An EPFD investigator did not give any information, but a police officer at the scene told an ABC-7 photographer they were called out for a possible arson investigation.

According to emergency radio scanners, there was a domestic dispute at the apartment complex when the car fires were reported.

It is not confirmed if the the calls were related.
