Elderly pedestrian killed Sunday night identified
Sunday night, lanes were blocked off on Doniphan, just north of Artcraft.
The lanes were blocked off as El Paso Police investigated an incident in which an elderly woman was hit by a truck and killed.
Police say 54-year-old Teddy Sanchez swerved to avoid hitting a car but instead hit 82-year-old Socorro Martinez of Canutillo.
Sanchez reportedly stopped and performed CPR.
Martinez later died at the hospital.
The District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case.
