Lawyer apologizes for comments about vets

last week, an el paso attorney received criticism for comments he made on his facebook page about u-s war veterans. in his words, mark davis questioned why: “… when they get hom they aren’t warriors anymore, they are all weak and disabled… ..and dependent for every need, unable to feed or care for themselves? what warriors?” this week, he offers an apology. the new information tonight with abc- seven’s evan folan. maria, today i went to mark davis’ law firm and sat down with him to hear why he posted those comments last week – and here is what he said. sot “everyone is found to b disabled – its against our values with the veterans association by over awarding disability benefits is hurting our soldier – i think.” – el paso attorney mark davis last week blasted disabled u-s veterans… and he took to facebook to question why they don’t fend for themselves when no longer serving in the armed forced. aldina rosales and other disabled veterans were furious. “m spine wasn’t exactly functioning the way it was suppose to” “so i couldnt hold my son and pick him up – its those things that i wish i could have them back.” davis now says hi message wasn’t quite clear. “i would like to apologize. i do not mean to say anything disrespectful against veterans. i sat down with the el paso attorney who says he never meant to target “all veterans.” “i realize that this country is only possible with because of our veterans and service that they have done for our nation.” but for some, the damage is done. rosales says she doubts his sinceritty. “i accept it, i just don’t feel like it is heartfelt.” “a lot of friend that i have were very angry – they were i should say thrown off from what he said.” less than two hours ago, davis made it clear on facebook that he’s happy people are talking about disability fraud… writing: “i took a lot of heat. but no we can talk openly about something – that just last week was taboo.” davis goes on to say: “i took a risk, a big risk, but i opened the door. i am very happy.” rick? fresh off his u-s trip, pope francis is set to drop some fresh beats this
