Water main break on North Mesa causing traffic problems

2nd Update: El Paso Water Utilities posted the following update on its Facebook page: #EPWU will have one eastbound lane open by 7PM tonight to help with traffic flow. Thank you for your patience and travel safe.

1st Update: ? El Paso Water Utilities posted the following on its Facebook page at about 5 p.m. “EPWU currently addressing water main break at Mesa between Remcon & I-10 eastbound. All three lanes on Mesa going east bound are currently closed in impacted area. EPWU working to open at least one lane. Avoid area if possible. No customers impacted by break. More details coming soon.”

Original Story: A water main break on North Mesa is causing traffic problems.

An El Paso Water Utilities spokeswoman told ABC-7 a contractor working on a gas line broke the water main at Mesa and Remcon.

A viewer called ABC-7 and said it took an hour to get passed that intersection driving down Mesa.
