Portion of Mesa Street closed until further notice

A section of Mesa Street near North Desert Boulevard is closed until further notice.

A water main break in the area on Tuesday afternoon closed the northbound lanes as El Paso Water Utilities repaired the break.

The intersection between North Desert Boulevard and Remcon Circle is completely closed Wednesday in both northbound and southbound directions as EPWU continued to work on the break.

EPWU said a contractor working on a gas line hit a water line.

There is no word on when the area of Mesa Street will reopen.
