anchors gave up their day jobs to join the cast of a movie set to shatter box office records. expectations are flying as high as we are in the millennium falcon tonight. welcome back to abc-seven at six. i’m rick cabrera. and i’m estela cas. the seventh installment of the wildly popular space saga opens tomorrow night. so are the wallets and hearts of the star wars faithful. while many fans of the force are getting ready for the new star wars movie, i’m going to introduce you to one fan who has been a fan of the force– for decades! nat of how i met your mother clip “actually i’v never seen star wars before …what?! she’s never seen star wars before??” if you’re like me saying those seven words creates a force darker than luke sywalker ever had to face. :40 me: “i’ve never seen star wars movie …” chris: are you serious? are you kidding?!” loca sales manager by day… star wars fanatic by night.. chris zarate says the star wars series is more of a time machine than a blockbuster. :59- “fo me it’s what i grew up on. i mean for me it’s what allowed me to open my mind and create that imagination.” the imagination of 5 years old boy with stars in his eyes. 1:24 “it was the christmas before my parents got divorced, it was the most beautiful christmas and i remember waking up and having star wars everywhere under the tree.” as an adult, zarate’ office is full of star wars memorabilia. 12:40 “that right there was signed by the guy who played darth vader.” and with kids of his own, he’s made the epic series a permanent part of his family. 3:18 “m first born daughter, i named her leia…3:35 had i had a son i wouldve named him luke” so it’s no denying that the theatres will be full of star wars fans tomorrow, and me myself i just might become a young padawan of the force. iris lopez, abc-7. / star wars: the force awakens is expected to make bring in half a billion
